Roundhead Association

The Roundhead Association Cavalry is called Hungerfords Regiment and in 2017 we are actively recruiting to expand the number of Cavalry troopers. Our events are substantially more exciting for the viewers and the participants when mounted troops are able to engage during our dispalys. It is a testing environment for both horse and rider but we are ever mindful of welfare and safety matters. Training is a primary element with experienced Officers ensuring that all cavalry members recieve high quality training and support. During displays these same officers will direct the action and liaise with opposing mounted forces to ensure rules of engagement are understood and adhered to. They are also part of the planning and design team of the battle and skirmish scenarios ensuring the safest possible environment for horse, rider and non-mounted re-enactors.
